Software

We’re always looking for ways to make your experience more efficient, cost-effective, and stress-free.

That’s why we’re excited to introduce Apron – the smart new software we’ll be using to manage receipts, bills, and invoices.

With Apron, you’ll still be able to capture and submit your paperwork with ease, but now with added features like payment cards, streamlined bill payments, and more.

It’s designed to save time, cut costs, and give you greater flexibility moving forward.

Want a sneak peek? Apron has a collection of helpful video guides on YouTube to walk you through the basics.

Dext to Apron Switch - FAQ's

Not only is Apron cheaper but it also brings lots of different software into one place. You’ll be able to pay payroll, manage bills and issue expense cards all through Apron so there’s no need for separate tools and other subscription fees.

We’re aiming to gradually phase it out by the end of October 2025

No – there’s no requirement to move to Apron. That said, Dext prices are likely to increase due to subscription levels on our side. Apron will be cheaper, around half the price, and will include more features like payroll payments, bill management, and expense cards all in one place.

Not at the moment, but Apron is actively developing and releasing new features, so we expect something similar to be added in the near future.

Yes – you can add team members or clients to Apron with different levels of access, so everyone who needs to can log in and manage their part.

No – your historical data is still stored in Xero. We can also help export anything you need from previous platforms before shutting anything down.

Once we’ve moved you over to Apron we’ll delete your account at which point Dext state all data will be deleted.

Yes – we’ll help you get set up, and Apron has a range of short YouTube videos to guide you through the key features step by step. The platform is designed to be easy to use, but if you need extra help, we’re always here to support you.

To get started, just sign in to Apron using the invite you should have received. From there, you can begin using it just like you would have with Dext.

We recommend publishing any remaining bills from Dext to Xero before switching over fully. Once that’s done, you can start uploading all new bills and expenses directly into Apron.
